Not all torrenting is equal. Different regions of the United States pirate games at differnet rates. Real estate site Movoto has recently unveiled a number of maps showing which states torrent which games the most, and the results might be surprising.
Most states are torrenting Watch_Dogs the most, but don’t let this make you think that Watch_Dogs is unique in any way. It’s simply the new hotness in the gaming community right now. So these states can pretty reliably be said to ride the trend of whatever is popular right now. That being said, there are a lot of strange other choices made by other states. Louisiana, for example, pirate Scribblenauts Unlimited the most. Texas and Maine pirate Garry’s Mod … for some reason. Delaware, the state that I, as a Jersian, love to make fun of, pirates Goat Simulator … that makes so much sense. Washington pirates Fifa 14 the most but New York pirates Fifa 13 !
