According to comments made by iconic developer David Jaffe at the AIAS Awards at DICE 2010, as picked up by G4TV, it appears Twisted Metal, the classic, arena battle racer many of us enjoyed in high school, will bless our consoles Holiday 2010. After being mildly heckled by a fan of Jaffe’s work in attendance, who screamed out “Twisted Metal!” when Jaffe took the stage, the celebrity designer barked back with a rather interesting comment of his own: “Soon, b*tch. Eight or nine months.” We’ll see if the timeline holds or not, but it is good to know the game is coming out relatively soon. I just hope Jaffe is over his Xbox 360 hate, because the Twisted Metal franchise could do really well across every gaming platform – including the Xbox 360 (and Wii for that matter).
