The “will it or won’t it” saga surrounding Devil’s Third for the Wii U has come to an anticlimactic end. There were a lot of rumors floating around about the state of the US localization of the game. Nintendo was already confirmed as a publisher in every other region, and all other locations had a release date. Now, we know that it will fill that role in North America as well.
There was talk that the quality of Devil’s Third had left its release stateside in question. But Nintendo has come forward and issued a press release saying it will release the game here in Q4 2015. That’s quite a delay from other regions’ August 2015 debuts.
However, Nintendo will only be the publisher of the Wii U version of Devil’s Third . It turns out Tomonobu Itagaki’s Valhalla Studios will be self-publishing the PC version. The port won’t be an exact replica of the Wii U game, and will instead be a free-to-start title focused on the multiplayer experience.
