Over the weekend, IGN reported on a story confirming that Rare is planning to announce a new title at E3 2015. Rare Creative Director Simon Woodroffe also revealed this news on Twitter by stating that Gregg Mayles’ new project will make it’s world premiere debut at the event.
Mayles is a Rare Designer who has worked on the Donkey Kong Country trilogy and Viva Piñata in the past. He has also gone on record saying that this upcoming project reveal is the most fun he has had while working at the studio.
Phil Spencer has already confirmed that Microsoft will be announcing a new IP at their conference next month. This news falls right in line with that and I can’t wait to see what Rare has been working on.
