According to “a trusted source” at Joystiq, developer Ready at Dawn is already hard at work on a sequel to God of War: Chains of Olympus. In other words, the PSP seems to be getting back to cool. This rumor strikes us as puzzling considering Ready at Dawn had vowed not to develop any more games for the PSP. Apparently, the coming has changed its tune, and new dev kits have once again been sent to the studio. It seems likely that an official announcement will be made at E3, with a launch date to coincide or dovetail off of the PS3 offering of the franchise in early 2010. Ready at Dawn has not confirmed the existence of the title. Curiously, they haven’t denied it either. Pre sident and co-founder, Didier Malenfant, told Joystiq: “You know that even if we were [making the game], I couldn’t answer your question.” Considering Chains of Olympus is the highest rated PSP title to date and that God of War III has already seen its fair share of hype, this rumor seems to be anything but! |
