Resistance Website Down After Hack

Resistance Website Down After Hack

None

Here’s a bit of news that shouldn’t surprise you: hackers are at it again. This time, they’re targeting the website/forums for the Resistance games.

MyResistance.net is still down after several users complained about some suspicious malware making its way around the forums. Sony has released an official statement about the situation, but it’s a little light on juicy details.

“SCEA discovered unexpected activity on its Resistance website, MyResistance.net,” Sony told Kotaku, “which includes the Resistance forums and the online free strategy game, Global Resistance. As a result, the website was taken down. MyResistance.net does not collect any credit card information, and we are working to get the site back up as soon as possible.”

MyResistance.net may not collect any credit card information, but it still stores username and password combinations, as well as email addresses. So, you might want to hit the net and change a few of your passwords just like you did the last time Sony got hacked…
