Slay the Spire Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows, and More

Slay the Spire Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows, and More

Slay the Spire is one of my favorite indie games of the last decade. The game was first released in early access for PC, Mac, and Linux machines in late 2017 before its official release in 2019. Today the game is available on pretty much anything including mobile devices. It was released for PlayStation 4 in May 2019, for Nintendo Switch in June 2019, and for Xbox One in August 2019. An iOS version was released in June 2020, with an Android version released in February 2021. Slay The Spire has been very well received and it was nominated for many awards in 2021. The game currently sits at 89 on Metacritic.

The Premise Of Slay The Spire

Slay The Spire is a roguelike deck-building card game. In Slay the Spire, the player, through one of four characters, attempts to ascend a spire of multiple floors, created through procedural generation, battling through enemies and bosses. The game’s combat happens through a collectible card game system. You’re able to gain new cards as rewards from combat as well as finding them in chests. The goal is to work through several levels of a spire with each level potentially having enemies or non-combative NPCs.

The Main Characters Of Slay The Spire

  • The Ironclad – The Ironclad is the default character that you will have to use when starting your first run of the game.
  • The Silent – The Silent is the second playable character in the game and is unlocked by completing a run with The Ironclad.
  • The Defect – The Defect is unlocked by finishing a run with Silent.
  • The Watcher – The Watcher is the final character you will unlock during your time with Slay the Spire.

Other Titles In The Series

Slay the Spire is the sole game in its series however, it directly spawned many games of a similar style. Here is a list of a few, if you’re looking for more games in this style.

  • InscryptionInscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror.
  • RoguebookRoguebook is a roguelike deck-building game developed by the developers of Faeria and Richard Garfield, creator of Magic: The Gathering™.
  • Monster TrainMonster Train is a strategic roguelike deck-building set on a train to hell.

Slay The Spire Cheat Codes

Slay The Spire doesn’t have traditional cheat codes which makes sense for the type of game it is. However, there is a way to activate cheats using third-party software. The downside is that third-party software usually only works on Steam, Windows, and Epic Games versions of a game. This software is called trainers and they work by altering a game’s code directly. Trainers are not supported by the official developers and come with risks. Be sure to exercise caution.

Save Scumming Method

In Slay The Spire, you can copy save files to a different folder to save a better state of a run for reuse later. Depending on who you ask, this probably isn’t a cheat but I think it’s useful for Spire Slayers on computers.

To Save Your Current Progress:

Start playing Slay the Spire.
Go to your \Steam\steamapps\common\SlayTheSpire\saves folder.
Copy the IRONCLAD.autosave (or SILENT.autosave or ???.autosave) file to a folder location of your choice.

To Load Your Saved Progress:

Quit Slay the Spire.
Go to the folder location where you copied the IRONCLAD.autosave file to.
Copy the IRONCLAD.autosave (or SILENT.autosave or ???.autosave) file to your \Steam\steamapps\common\SlayTheSpire\saves folder.
Restart Slay the Spire and click on “continue”.
