After last week’s attack on Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), Sony revealed that the SOE servers will be down at least another week, if not more. Though the PSN is slowly coming back to life, the SOE hack looks to have been much more serious, and Sony has recruited several security experts to help rebuild it.  Taina Rodriguez, a Sony Online Entertainment spokeswoman said in a statement that bringing the network back would be a slow process because, “Our servers are different from the PSN servers. We are operated separately. But since we’re both under the Sony umbrella, there is a degree of architecture that overlaps.” |
