Sonichu Creator Arrested for Macing GameStop Employee

The Sonichu comic series creator, Christian Weston Chandler, was arrested recently for spraying mace over a GameStop employee.

The incident took place at the Charlottesville Fashion Square Shopping Center, where Chandler was reportedly  attempting to vandalize a Sonic Boom display. Witnesses say that he was asked to leave by GameStop staff who recognized him from a previous incident–one which got him banned from the store in question.

Chandler began to leave after staff had gone to inform security about the refusal to vacate the area, but not before spraying an employee with something–which was later confirmed as mace / pepper spray–on his way out. Chandler was soon arrested outside the shopping center thereafter. The sprayed employee was not harmed.

Chandler was then jailed and was waiting for a hearing on Monday, December 29th. On that day, it was confirmed he was bailed out.

According to reports, the incident occurred to due Chandler’s upset of SEGA changing the color of Sonic’s arms from the typical beige to blue. Full accounts of the incident can be read further via the Sonichu / CWC wiki.
