It’s been a while since we heard any word from Team ICO about the re-release of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. In fact, for a while, we were thinking that they were going to be canceled. Luckily enough, all of our worries were put to rest, as Team ICO joined the media push for the buildup to E3 with a new Ico and Shadow of the Colossus trailer. The trailers showcase some of the gameplay in the two remade games. Overall, we know that the games will play pretty similarly to how they did originally. This isn’t actually a matter of additional content; it’s a matter of HD remastering.  So how do the games look? Well, Ico looks better, but it’s still rather fuzzy and blurry at points. Shadow of the Colossus, on the other hand, almost looks like it was designed for an HD system. It’s extremely pretty and I tip my hat to Team Ico for doing such a good job. Both games are due out in September of this year, but we will be able to see them in action at this year’s E3. We will give you a full rundown of the remakes next week. |
