If you wanted to do some racing on your Wii U, it looks like you won’t be able to turn to Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studios’ Project Cars . Two months after the game’s PS4, Xbox One, and PC release, word is coming in that the Nintendo version has been canned.
The word comes from Slightly Mad Studios, the developer itself. It spoke to NintendoLife and said the game wasn’t going to happen. Apparently, the Wii U isn’t advanced enough to handle the game. The studio kept having trouble getting it to run on the system, hence the initial reports of an extended delay between the already available versions and this one.
Slightly Mad Studios did state it’s waiting to hear more on the NX. While the Wii U is out, perhaps there’s a chance of Project Cars or its sequel being on a Nintendo platform.
