PlayStation Plus’ price is going up. That’s sad! But that isn’t happening until September 22. That’s good! Why? Because it means we still have opportunities to get a twelve month subscription for $49.99 before it leaps up to $59.99. And if you get your Groupon on, you can get it for $38.
Here’s the deal. Groupon is selling PlayStation Plus one year memberships for $49.99. If you happen to be a new member, you can use the coupon code “FIRST” when you check out to take 25% off of your purchase. That makes it $37.49. This applies to new customers, so you need to make a new account with a new email or shipping address. You’ll get a card mailed to you, as long as you live in the continental US, getting you a year of PlayStation Plus at a discount.
You can stack memberships, so don’t be afraid to grab a card even if you aren’t close to your subscription ending. I know I’m going to get one before the price jump. Though, given the latest offerings, it might not be a bad idea to see if the free games in September might make it worth it.
