Anonymous Goes After Sony Executives

Anonymous Goes After Sony Executives

None

Not content with just denying service to PlayStation 3 users, hacker enthusiast group Anonymous announced that they will now be targeting the personal information of Sony executives, and all the lawyers involved in the ongoing George Hotz case. Official Anonymous sources have outlined several planned attack methods for those they have deemed guilty in the ongoing conflict, which includes sending empty UPS boxes to their locations and prank-calling their phones.

Of course, the more radical members of the Anonymous group have expressed interest in going after the kids of Sony executives, which is downright deplorable behavior. While Anonymous may have gained some credit as a legitimate organization during the Egypt/Tunisia crises, these actions are making them look like power-hungry Mafioso, bent on destroying anyone who doesn’t give them what they want.

In addition to attacking employees personally, Anonymous released a video yesterday that said that the attacks on the PlayStation Network and the PlayStation family of websites would continue. As of this writing, both the PlayStation Network and the PlayStation Blog seem to be in working order, but Anonymous promises they’ll make good on their threats. Let’s hope not.
