Hades is a roguelike game developed by Supergiant Games. The game was released in 2020 and received universal praise for its gameplay, story, characters, and soundtrack. Many players have hailed it as one of the greatest video games ever created. It won dozens of industry awards, including Game of the Year and Best Indie Game. Its success helped spawn a sequel, which will be released sometime in 2024.
Hades Premise
The game has a simple premise of Zagreus, the son of Hades, trying to escape the Underworld to reach his mother. Throughout his journey, he receives gifts and rewards from Olympians as he battles through the Underworld. As a roguelike, each game is entirely different, with players having to change their playstyle and adapt to situations. Not only does it add unlimited replay value, but it tests the player’s skills and might.
Hades Main Characters
Hades is filled with legendary figures from Greek mythology. Players control Zagreus and run into various NPCs along the way that either help or hinder his progression. Hades taunts his son each time the player dies as they return to his office.

Hades Cheat Codes
Unfortunately for players, Hades does not feature any cheat codes. Any alterations to the game would be through mods, glitches, or exploits. As game development becomes more advanced and with modding communities bigger than ever, there is less reason to add cheat codes to video games today.
Some developers also believe that it will take away from the experience and immersion of the game. Hades focuses on replayability and having the players better themselves throughout their quest. Using cheat codes would remove this challenge and spoil the game’s intended experience.
