Long-time Nintendo fans have been waiting for the Kid Icarus franchise to get remade for years now. Today, Nintendo announced that the project-formerly-known-as-Sora is in fact Kid Icarus: Uprising. The title is currently in development for the Nintendo 3DS, and the game will feature classic gameplay with a 3D twist. Rather than killing baddies on a 2D plane, making your way ever upwards, players will now be able to take on these foes from any and all angles, employing Pit’s wings for flight and his bow for pinpoint shooting. Visually, the game looks on-par with Nintendo 64-era perhaps even GameCube-era graphics, but we’ll have to wait and see the final product.  |
