Minecraft Mobile Gets Long-Awaited Update

Minecraft Mobile Gets Long-Awaited Update

None

Fans of Minecraft Mobile have spoken: They want animals, they want resources, they want new blocks, and they want creepers to come around and destroy their hard work so they have to do it all over again. The watered down mobile version just isn’t enough for this fan base.

So what are Minecraft’s developers to do other than oblige? Update, of course!

The official new update for Minecraft Mobile is planned to be submitted on February the 8th, and from there it’s just a matter of being approved by the iOS App Store and the Android Market. Here’s what the update will include, according to a post on Mojang’s website:

“In the background a lot of stuff has changed to support the survival aspects of the game. You will see some neat looking animals and new blocks. Crafting won’t be in this update since we need to redesign the GUI for it and it will need some iteration and thinking. But the great part is that the foundation for survival will be mostly done and we can throw out much more fun updates! Yay! 😀 And hopefully the progress of the updates will be much more faster. Oh, and of course some bug-fixing have been done too. Doors and fences will be in there it too!”
