Do you play Overwatch competitively? If so, you may have encountered a rather big problem. People who have connection issues and get disconnected are supposed to be able to have a chance to get back in the match without a penalty if they reconnect in time. The problem? People are still being penalized even when they reconnect after a disconnection. Don’t worry, Blizzard has a plan.
Jeff Kaplan, Overwatch’ s Director, took to the Battle.net forums to reassure folks. Blizzard is aware of the issue that’s wrongfully penalizing people who manage to reconnect. Last Friday, he said fixes will hopefully come next week. Well, it’s technically next week, so maybe we could see a Competitive Mode fix by this Friday?
In the meantime, maybe avoid Overwatch’ s Competitive Mode if you take rankings seriously? At least, if you’re someone who’s experienced this problem before. If you haven’t, then go ahead and keep doing what you’re doing!
