Overwatch Patch Includes Sombra and a Map

Overwatch Patch Includes Sombra and a Map

It’s a big day for Overwatch fans! Not because the free weekend is starting early. No, that’s still beginning Friday. A new patch has been released! People on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC can start enjoying all sorts of new things, as well as bug fixes, tweaks, and rebalancing. But the biggest news is undoubtedly Sombra.

Sombra leads the charge of new Overwatch content in the November 15 patch. She’s an offensive hero with a machine pistol, hack ability, thermoptic camo, translocator, and EMP. In addition to her, the Ecopoint: Antarctic map has been added. That’s where Mei-Ling Zhou was stationed at an Overwatch installation, which naturally still remains. The Arcade has opened, with game modes that don’t fall into the Quick or Competitive Play categories and Arcade-specific Loot Boxes.

This all comes ahead of the third season of Competitive Play. That’ll start on November 30. In case you’re wondering, the second season ends on November 23, the day before Thanksgiving.

The best part of this Overwatch update is what it means for people who are looking forward to that free weekend that starts Friday. We’re going to get to try Sombra too! I’m excited!
