PlaneScape: Torment Sequel Gets New Name, Composer

PlaneScape: Torment Sequel Gets New Name, Composer

Formerly known simply as “that sequel to PlaneScape: Torment,” the upcoming story-heavy RPG has been given a new name, grafting it to a new Pen & Paper property as well. InXile’s new RPG, henceforth known as Torment: Tides of Numenera, will be set in the Numenera universe, a P&P system being created by Monte Cook, which held a tremendously successful Kickstarter last year. Though there are no details on the game’s plot as of yet, the Facebook page does state that its core question will be the same as the original’s: what does one life matter?

Additionally, a post on that game’s Facebook page has announced that Mark Morgan will be composing the soundtrack. Morgan was the composer behind the original PlaneScape: Torment as well as both of Black Isle’s Fallout titles. You probably heard his work most recently in either Fallout: New Vegas (where it was reappropriated from the earlier Fallout games) or 2009’s Need for Speed: Shift.
