Here’s a head’s up for you. On Monday, August 17, the PlayStation Network isn’t going to be its usual self. Sony is going to be performing a round of maintenance starting at 9pm PT. Nothing to worry about, as it’s strictly routine.
This shouldn’t hamper most PS3, PS4, and Vita experiences. The only areas that will be blocked off while the PlayStation Network is undergoing maintenance are the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Video, and Account Management. So long as you’ve logged in before the maintenance begins, you’ll be able to play games online and stream video from Netflix and Hulu.
The PlayStation Network maintenance should only last two hours, but you know how these things go. Rarely, it will take less time than expected, and often more. Cross your fingers and hope for the former!
