Fresh off the heels of yesterday’s announcement of the PSN Day 1 Digital program, Sony has today unveiled PS3 Essentials, a new initiative that gathers together various classic PlayStation 3 titles and lists them at “pocket-friendly prices.”
25 games have been confirmed to be part of the collection as of now, with highlights including the first three Assassin’s Creed titles, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Driver: San Francisco, Far Cry 2, Infamous, Just Cause 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Every one of the Essentials will be priced starting at €14.99, although prices vary from there.
So far the promotion has only been announced for Europe via the EU PlayStation Blog, with no word on a North American counterpart just yet.
