Zynga is filing a trademark infringement lawsuit against social network game Blingville. Zynga is behind such hits as FarmVille, CityVille, and FrontierVille, and believes using the “ville” suffix will make consumers think Blingville is part of the Zynga family.
Blingville is prepared to fight this suit and is also demanding that Zynga pay its legal fees.  This begs the question: can a company really trademark a suffix? |
