GOG Offers Second Pay What You Want Deal; Introduces Mac Support

GOG Offers Second Pay What You Want Deal; Introduces Mac Support

GOG’s got some new things in the pipe, and they’re pretty cool.

First off, the deal: 32 Interplay games have been released, to date, on CDProjekt’s GOG service. Given prices that generally range from six dollars up to ten, this works out to almost $200 worth of gaming goodness, if purchased separately. The list includes such iconic titles as Earthworm Jim, Fallout (1, 2 and Tactics), the MDK titles, Descent games (including both Freespace sims), and FPS-oddball Shogo.

Right now, you can have them all for $35. With its second “Pay What You Want” sale, GOG.com is putting the entire Interplay library up for grabs. Paying anything will net one eight games. Beat the average and you’re looking at 20. The full $35, though, will net you all 32 of the games. Already have a few? That’s okay; GOG will give you giftable codes for those, so now your friends can have them, too.

Further, there’s great news for Mac gamers. GOG has started bringing Mac compatible downloads of some of its titles over to the service, including both CDProjekt RED developed Witcher games. A lot of older titles are also on this list, though, and many of them are games that were never released on the operating system in the first place, marking the first time they’ve been available to play on Mac. It’s a strange new world we’re seeing, folks.
