Poppy Playtime is an ongoing episodic horror game developed and published by Mob Entertainment. The first episode was originally released in 2021, with the second following for PC and mobile devices in 2022. While the third episode isn’t out yet, it’s currently slated for release later this year. Then, Poppy Playtime will finally be complete.
The game has managed to draw in its player base by making the first episode totally free, hooking players with its atmospheric gameplay. Afterward, it costs $9.99 to pick up its second episode, by which point players are hopefully all-in on Poppy Playtime.
Poppy Playtime Premise
Poppy Playtime combines horror elements with puzzles to create a spooky atmosphere for you to explore. It places you in a seemingly abandoned factory, which has more hidden than meets the eye once you explore for a while. A lot of the in-game story is presented via VHS tapes, which can be found littered around the factory.
Overall, the gameplay is pretty simple to grasp. The game does introduce a gadget called the GrabPack, which introduces a ton of variety into the gameplay. You can use it to grab items from a distance, conduct electricity to solve puzzles, and open doors. In Chapter 2, it even gains the ability to swing across gaps, so it’s clear that Mob Entertainment is still figuring out the full potential of the GrabPack.
With Chapter 3 of Poppy Playtime set to release soon, it will be exciting to see what gameplay innovations the developer creates next.
Poppy Playtime Main Characters
Despite Poppy Playtime being quite a small game, it has a wide cast of characters for you to meet and interact with. These mostly come in the form of toys brought to life in the factory. Some serve a large purpose in the story, while others are there purely to bring the world of Poppy Playtime to life. Here are all of the characters you need to know about in-game:
- The Protagonist: The faceless protagonist of Poppy Playtime comes to the factory, attempting to unravel the mystery of people who disappeared a decade ago. Little is known about them, other than their intelligence to be able to solve the puzzles presented by the game.
- Poppy Playtime: Poppy is a doll who plays a major role in Chapter 2. Initially presented as a friendly face, there’s more to Poppy than meets the eye.
- Huggy Wuggy: Huggy Wuggy is the face of Poppy Playtime. Instantly recognizable, he’s the character you spend all of Chapter 1 trying to avoid.
- Mommy Long Legs: Mommy Long Legs plays a similar role to Huggy Wuggy, serving as the antagonist of Chapter 2 of Poppy Playtime.
Poppy Playtime Titles in the Series
Despite Poppy Playtime not technically being complete yet, that hasn’t stopped Mob Entertainment from attempting to capitalize on its popularity. A year after episode one of the original game was released, a spin-off titled PROJECT: PLAYTIME was also put into Early Access.
There’s even an announced film adaptation in development. Whether that comes to fruition is yet to be seen, though. Still, there appears to be a real attempt to make Poppy Playtime an enduring franchise, akin to something like Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Poppy Playtime Cheat Codes
If you’re looking for official Poppy Playtime cheat codes, you’re not going to find them here. Or anywhere, for that matter. Because they don’t exist. The game isn’t even fully complete yet, so Mob Entertainment certainly hasn’t had the time to add in cheats of any sort.
Still, that hasn’t stopped the community from getting to work on cheats of their own. That’s right – the only way to cheat in Poppy Playtime is by using third-party cheats and trainers. As of right now, there’s only one we trust – WeMod. With this, you get a few different settings you can play with, including Set Player Speed, Set Jump Height, and Set Game Speed.
Whether Poppy Playtime will ever get official cheats remains to be seen, but for now, WeMod’s trainer is the best alternative.

The game just isn’t finished yet. We imagine that Mob Entertainment has bigger priorities than adding cheat codes to Poppy Playtime. However, it’s still something that could come to the game in the future. It’s not guaranteed, though.
What Is The Code For The Poppy Playtime Security Door?

At one point during the story, you’ll need to access a security room. In your way is a color-coded keypad, where you must enter the correct colors to progress. The order you need to input is Green, Pink, Yellow, and Red.
