PS3 A Classroom Tool?

PS3 A Classroom Tool?

None

The PS3 is many things, but a classroom learning aid is not one that comes to mind quickly. However, Sony is making plans to roll out PS3 consoles in classrooms across the UK and will be releasing “teacher packs” of DLC for games like LittleBigPlanet 2 to help teachers use the console practically in the classroom.

This could be a great opportunity to engage young learners with the familiar PlayStation 3 interface, and teach them something in a way that feels familiar to play rather than work. PlayStation Europe VP Ray Maguire said in an interview that “We are going to be creating teacher packs where class teachers with a specialist subject knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math.” Sounds exciting!
