Playrix’s Fishdom is one of the most popular “match three” games. Players have to match at least three alike gems to clear the board and earn coins that can be spent on a virtual aquarium. The game also gives you different items that can either help or hinder your ability to clear the board. Fishdom is widely available on mobile but there are versions available for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSiware. A 3DS version was also released but plays completely differently.
Fishdom Premise
Fishdom is a puzzle game where players must match three or more gems to complete combos and clear the golden tiles on their puzzle board within a certain number of moves. Players are given gold, silver, or bronze awards based on how many moves they take to complete their board.
Over time, players earn coins. Coins can be used to upgrade your aquarium. You can earn coins by beating levels, solving minigames, and beating missions. There are also diamonds, which are a premium currency that can be gathered using real money.
Diamonds are only available on the mobile versions of the game. The DS/DSi/3DS ports do not feature Diamonds.
Fishdom Main Characters
The game does not include any main characters in a traditional sense. Technically, the main character of Fishdom is the player. Other characters include the fish and other living beings you can get in the game.
