George Hotz, who was famously sued by Sony for hacking the PlayStation 3 and then settled out of court, has found a non-hacking job with social networking behemoth Facebook. No one knows exactly what he is doing at Facebook, but if I had to guess it is probably something to do with security, considering the hacking community has gotten exponentially stronger and more aggressive since the PS3 hackpocalypse.  So does this mean that George Hotz is giving up the hacking game for good? Perhaps. We still don’t know what exactly the terms of his settlement with Sony are, but it’s a good bet that he isn’t supposed to be in the hacking trade anymore. And while plenty of people speculated that he would find employment with Sony, it might be best that those two keep their distance. Will his new job with Facebook ensure that this is the last we hear of George Hotz? It wouldn’t be a bad thing… |
