Since Sony started flexing its muscles and laying down the wrath by banning hackers with “jailbroken” PS3s, it looked like Sony might have actually turned the tide against hackers. Unfortunately, hackers have discovered a way to do Sony one better by not only unbanning their PS3s, but also by figuring out how to ban other players. That’s right, tools have appeared online that allow users to trick the PSN servers into thinking they are another user. So when the PSN servers track down the use of the unauthorized tools, they will trace it back to the innocent user and that person will be banned.  It’s still unknown what Sony will do in response to this serious development, but one thing is certain; Sony needs to do something fast. |
